2007 John Deere X740 Ride On Mower Diesel 60 Deck

John Deere X740 ride on diesel mower. Fitted with Clamshell grass collector. 1891 hours, originally purchased in 2007. One private owner since new. Serviced annually and well looked after. The machine has just been serviced, has new blades and a new collection pipe. It’s ready to go for the new mowing season. if we don’t get a sensible offer for it we intend to keep it and use it, but would prefer to upgrade to a high dump model. This was the top range John Deere ride on. It’s fitted with the largest deck (60”) and a clamshell collector. It has a rear PTO drive fitted as an extra to drive the Clamshell or other attachments. It also has as an extra the rear three point linkage so other accessories can be used. Condition of the tractor is good. It’s been very reliable and no issues with the engine, oil leaks etc. The cutting deck looks scruffy with a bit of rust and has lost a lot of paint. But the metalwork is sound and all wheels have been replaced in recent years. There is damage to the plastic part that connects the deck to the collection pipe (see photo). But this could be repaired or the part replaced. It also comes with a spare drive belt which we bought for over £70+vat. The blades on the deck are brand new. The seat has minor damage to it, visible on the photos. Otherwise condition good for its age The clamshell collector works well. A new collector pipe has been fitted. The clamshell unit has been bashed about with lots of dents and scrapes - but fully functional. The bottom of the clamshell lid was replaced last year as it had rusted through at a cost of £1k. The only thing not working on the clamshell is the alarm to notify one that the unit is full - but it shouldn’t take much to get this fixed. Tyres have loads of tread and in good condition. Aside from the photos of the tractor it will come with spare collection pipe, spare cutting deck drive belt, stand for collector, parts for 3 point linkage, and parts for mulching deck if required. This is a great machine if you have a lot of grass to cut. As a private seller No VAT needs to be added to the sale price.
