Husqvarna CTH150 XP - Ride on Mower - Lawn Tractor Private sale - please read all listing and view photos. I purchased this mower new around 10 years ago from our local Husqvarna Dealer it cost £2300 at the time. This mower has been sat unused in our barn for the past 2 years ever since I bought a new machine for the wife to use, our replacement mower now has a hydraulic grass emptying system which makes her life easier! . . . we kept this old mower just in case we ever needed a spare, this has never happened so have now decided to get rid. This CTH150 XP model has a Kawasaki 15hp petrol engine and has a 42 inch cutting deck with rear discharge into a grass collector, it also comes with a mulching plug which can replace the collector if you don t want to regularly collect the grass clippings, and which makes for a much quicker cut if you mow your lawns regularly. Since taking the mower out of storage last week, and after it having not been used for a couple of seasons, the damn thing now refuses to move forward or backwards! . . . . it was working fine the last time we used it. Therefore this mower is now being sold as a non runner . Anyway the engine starts and runs fine the cutting deck blades seem to work as they should when switched on, but the actual mower doesn t seem to have any drive, it won t move when you engage the forward or reverse lever. I have rung the dealer to explain the fault, he has said that it is most likely to be a problem with the drive linkage? but went on to say that he would need to have the tractor into their workshop to confirm. I do not have the time or inclination to sort the problem so would much rather sell the mower as is and let a prospective new owner take on a repair project! However, I did fit a brand new battery last week while mower was still sat in the barn, the old one seemed dead having not been charged over past 2 years, the new battery comes with a 3 year warranty. Also of note, is that we had both of the drive belts replaced just before we stored the mower. The mower also comes with original key and handbook.
