Bosch Atco Qualcast Classic Petrol 14s Lawnmower.Ready to Go….. Ready to Mow. Self-propelled petrol lawnmower Fully functioning and Fully serviced with large capacity compactable grass box. Fitted with the reliable AQ148 engine, it is an easy starter, a nice runner, and benefits from electronic ignition. The lawnmower has a 35 cm or 14 width cut, and is designed for the small to medium garden, but being self-propelled, could easily cope with larger gardens.It has a heavy steel rear roller, which not only helps to level the ground, it gives the professional looking and much sought after Stately home striped appearance to the lawn. The lawnmower has just completed its annual service (the cost of which alone at a main dealer would be more than double the asking price). The Dellorto FHC20 11 carburettor was stripped down and all fuel jets, orifices and the emulsification tube were cleaned with carb cleaner and blown through before reassembling with new gaskets as required.The carburettor’s adjustments were then optimized.The air filter was replaced and oiled up as per manufacturers specification.Engine oil was drained whilst engine was hot, flushed and replaced with Qualcast’s recommended grade of oil... SAE 30.The fuel tank, fuel lines and inline fuel filter were flushed before filling with fresh petrol.Please note only sufficient petrol to test the mower will be in the tank prior to transportation in a vehicle (H S regs) A new NGK B2-LM Spark plug was fitted and gapped correctly, before being torqued down to 20Nm.Both drive belts and pulleys have been inspected, cleaned and talc’d up, before being adjusted correctly. (see photo 12)Photo 11 shows the rear roller having the upgraded strengthening plate fitted.The cylinder cutting blades are in good condition and have recently been back-lapped to enhance the cutting performance. See photos 3 and 10 which shows the resultant grass cuttings after a quick trim of the lawn.As can be seen from the photographs the mower is in excellent condition for its age and if maintained, will last for many years to come, but does come with minor cosmetic age-related scratches, small paint chips and the occasional indication of rust, that do not affect the operation of the mower.The photos make the mower appear to be better than it really is. I can honestly say none of the photographs have been retouched in any way. The Mower benefits from the vast Bosch Qualcast Service network. This Qualcast Mower has the innovative QX cutting cylinder that can be removed easily and replaced with a scarifier cassette. A scarifier cassette will not be supplied with this machine, but can be easily sourced on EBay (just ensure it is the 35cm one you order if required.)The 35s features a three-way drive system allowing independent engagement of the cutting cylinder and rear roller, ie. just the roller drive, just the cutting cylinder or the roller drive and the cutting cylinder. This allows for total control of the mower in all operating conditions, a big H S plus point. There are five stages of cutting heights for mowing and one for scarifying, plus a large capacity compactable front grass-box for easy grass collection.Take your time to look at the photos as they are a major part of the description.
