*Apologies to all 33 people who were watching this - a zero feedback new ebayer clicked buynow by accident - so I ve had to relist * Countax C600 H (Hydrostatic) mower with 42 cutting deck and powered grass collector. Low running hours – 152 privately owned hours from new. What you see is what you get - it s all Countax - nothing has been repainted or touched up for the photos!! New £700 42” cutting deck fitted 2014 LESS THAN 20 HOURS AGO. Bulletproof 16hp (the 16HP sticker on the air filter came unstuck) Honda V Twin GCV530 engine with Tufftorq hydrostatic (automatic) gearbox – no gears, just two pedals - dead easy to operate. Countax main dealer service approx. 20 hours ago - £600-worth. Included stub axles, steering gears, belts, fluids and filters. Oil and filter changed regularly. Owners manual and engine service manual. Two keys. Recent battery. On trickle charge over winter. Tyres have been filled with gloop to stop punctures. The powered grass collector (PGC) sweeps up the clippings (or autumn leaves), gives a proper striped lawn that a roller just can’t match, doesn’t block up with damp grass and can be used in the rain if necessary. These mowers have a power take off pulley at the back to drive the PGC or a chipper, a scarifier or other accessories. It also has a tow hitch for a very useful garden trailer. And arm rests. And more importantly a cup holder. I replaced the whole deck as a couple of bearings were on their way out (and the housings looked seized solid with no chance of removal), the blades were past their best, and the rust was starting to take hold - the new deck has made a massive difference to the quality of the cut. I thoroughly waxoyled and stonechipped the new deck underneath before fitting - it has probably done less than 15-20 hours work from new. Sold the old deck for repair for £££ very easily on here. Be careful with these decks - once they are damp and covered in mud and they start to rust, it s usually game over. Countax and Westwood are the same company - same machines, different bonnets. They updated their mowers last year, with a new pressed steel chassis, ridiculous EU-spec plastic covers hindering access to everything that moves, electronic power take off, and an electronic operating management system that just looks overly expensive and complex. This is NOT one of those new-design mowers. Chassis is tough old box section, belts are visible, powered take off, deck height and grass tipping are lever operated not electronic, and the dashboard is simple. Loads of life left in it yet! Domestic use on my lawn only hence low running hours – it’s not a contract gardeners machine. I waxoyled under the rubber footmats when I bought it, and the new deck has been stonechipped and waxoyled underneath. There is some flaking paint to the chassis where it was jetwashed during the last service, but no proper rust – many of these machines are bubbling and corroding all over the chassis due being kept in damp conditions. This has always been stored inside when not in use – not under a tarpaulin in the garden. I’m not really a keen gardener, which is why the mower has so few running hours on it – my grass doesn’t get cut every single week in the summer, but when it does, it’s a doddle dri
