Hayter Harrier 48 Self Propelled Petrol Rear Roller Mower with BBC. Just inherited, but it’s too big for our small garden. Condition is Used. would benefit from some TLC / know how. Collection only from BN43 near Brighton. The Good. Starts first time. Every time. One pull and it’s a guaranteed start. Cuts Grass like a champ. Very easy to adjust height of cut. BBC safety system works as a ‘dead man’s handle’ to ensure blades won’t turn unless you’re squeezing the control lever as you stand behind mower. The Bad. Just stopped self propelling. Easy enough to push around , and the drive chain isn’t broken. But for some reason the roller stopped rolling after a mow this week. I’m not a mechanic so don’t know why it’s stopped self propelling or how to fix it. Clutch (?) It won’t switch off. So you have to pull the cap off the spark plug to kill it. Not a big issue but perhaps there’s an easy fix ie Throttle cable probably needs adjusting. (?) No Grass box. Rough paint on sides. Have a good look at photos. It works but needs some servicing or attention. Sold without reserve. Buyer must collect. I am NOT posting it. I live near Brighton in Sussex.
