Hayter Harrier 56 Lawn Mower – Self Propelled With Electric Start

Greetings. You re looking at the top of the range of Hayter Pedestrian Mowers - The last in the range before you enter the realms of Ride-on machines. I ve owned this 22 inch roller driven mower for about two years now and it s always been 100% reliable. Always starts first time, and surprisingly economical considering the size of the engine (this mower uses less fuel to cut my lawns, than I used to use in my old smaller Mountfield or Qualcast mowers). This is an absolute workhorse, and in excellent condition (have a look at a few of the other examples of this mower on offer today), and in good working order. My only reason for selling is the fact it is quite heavy (53 Kg) and my wife and I are getting on a bit now, so we really need something lighter. This is the Model 561F with the following features:- 6 HP OHV Briggs and Stratton Intek Engine. 8 easily adjustable height settings. Cast alloy casing/chassis (never rusts) Tough ABS Underdeck (never rusts) Differential driven split rear roller. 22 Rotary Cut. Self propelled. Electric Start. NB: Although this model has an Electric Starter (which works), the battery is in poor condition and really needs to be replaced (10 minutes of running charges it enough to start the engine again). These batteries can be purchased on eBay for less than £10 though, and it s simplicity itself to fit. A standard Pull-Cord is also provided (of course), to start the engine by the conventional method. This is a British made current model which sells new for £1,249. Variable Speed Pulley and Belts (kit) - £45 Under Deck Guard - £41 Grass bag fabric - £36 Roller Ratchets - £16 (prices are all approximate) Easy to service (so I m told - I m not mechanical) and suitable for a medium to large lawn area. I have three lawns with a total area of approx, 240 Square Metres, and I can cut it all in around 30 to 40 minutes. My lawn is in very poor condition (moss, weeds, clover, buttercups, etc.), but you can see from the last photo what a brilliant job this mower makes of it. The split rear roller makes this machine very easy to turn, and it creates that lovely professional striped finish that only a roller mower can produce. Cash on collection would be preferred, but I can accept full payment via PayPal if the buyer is prepared to cover the cost of the PayPal commission (3%). Due to the size and weight if this machine, THIS IS FOR COLLECTION ONLY. Although the handle will fold down, you will probably need a small van, or a trailer to collect this, in order to transport it safely.
