Mountfield Emperor Self Propelled Rear Roller Petrol Lawn Mower With Grass Box

MOUNTFIELD PRO LAWN MOWER this was a mower i used on a relatives huge garden, it left it looking like a bowling green, not for small gardens more for pro gardeners. it is self propelled on a rear roller, which is smooth and dosen t get much traction so its not ideal for sloping lawns. this is a beast of a machine with a 5.5 hp briggs and stratton engine, which starts first time every time. was serviced every year by a mower centre up until last year. my relative moved to australia and left me this as a going away trinket, but its just too big for my garden and has been sitting in my shed idle, a waste of an impressive machine. this mower is old, it has an alluminium chasis, a clutch controlled blade drive, engine brake and throttle control, they just don t make them like they used to. it has some cosmetic damage (see last 4 photo s) the paint work is looking a bit shabby, there is a broken throttle control case (this does not effect its function). at the rear of the mower where the grass is diverted into the grass box, there is a steel insert which has become rusty and has some holes are appearing, i was going to bolt something over it when it became a problem but it hasn t become an issue as yet. there is a couple of repairs to the grass box which was done many years ago and are still holding strong. there is a little red button on the handle which is damaged, i have not got a clue what its for and have never needed to use it. it my sound like i m running this mower down, but i just want to be as honest as i possibly can, it was a pleasure to work with it for so many years. pick up due to size from the wd4 area of watford.
