Mountfield Empress 18 Push Petrol Mower

Mountfield Empress 18 petrol mower with roller. They don t make them like this anymore! Seriously, this is a solid machine. The modern equivalent has a cheap plastic superstructure and does not look the part. This one does. It was bought second hand from Dobbes in Great Bookham five years ago and has been serviced by them each year since then. It works well and produces a nice cut. Everything functions well, no leaks or anything like that. It does need several attempts to start it after the long winter lay off. I don t know exactly how old it is. These mowers were first made in 1987. Clearly it has seen many years good service and will need regular maintenance and some tlc. It s sold as seen. Whoever buys it, I will leave it cold and you can start it when you come to pick it up and see what you think. If you reckon it isn t worth what you paid I will happily refund your money. I won t renegotiate the price though. If you want your money back that s fair enough and I will relist it. I honestly don t think this is just for spares. It works soundly but given its age you will need to spend money maintaining it.
