Mountfield Sp42r Petrol Lawn Mower – Push – Collection Only

Mountfield SP42R Petrol Lawn Mower - Push - Collection Only - Used. I bought this lawn mower new for £300 in January 2017. I have recently bought another one hence my desire to sell this one. Over a two year period I used it in my garden maintenance business and as such it has done a lot more work than a normal two-year old mower. Having said that, it still runs ok but needs a full service and a really good clean. I removed the anti-skid plate, which got in my way when trying to lift it in and out of my van, and therefor it doesn’t have one. I also found that the self-drive belt often slipped off so I removed it and used it as a push mower instead. If you are no stranger to the underside of a mower then you could reinstate the self-drive belt and guard (which I still have, but I have lost the spring which tensions the drive unit). I found refitting the drive belt a bit fiddly to do which is why I removed it.This is not a particularly heavy or awkward mower to move around so self-drive is not really necessary unless you are dealing with slopes or very mossy lawns. It has a rear roller which provides a stipe effect on your lawn. It comes with the grass box. I have no doubt this mower would be a great weekend machine for any small to medium sized lawn. I will demonstrate that it still works to the buyer on collection. The handles fold down in two stages and can fit into a hatchback if necessary. I am selling this mower “as seen” and in good faith.
