Westwood T1600 Ride On Lawn Mower Garden Compact Tractor Topper Paddock

This is a Westwood T1600 ride on mower with high grass mulching deck. Good condition, everything works as it should. Starts and runs excellently. Recently serviced: new oil and filter, air filter, spark plugs, battery. Still in use in my garden and well looked after. Has a high grass mulching deck fitted. These are quite rare, you don t see many for sale. Similar to a tractor topper it s perfect for mowing taller, thicker grass and paddocks etc. Mulches (i.e. chops grass up in to tiny pieces) which means you don t need to collect the clippings. The standard cutting decks are designed for lawns so they get jammed up and break the drive belts in longer grass. This is one of the more powerful models with extra features such as an electric clutch to engage the blades and an auxiliary drive. You can mount scarifiers, chippers, sweepers and various other attachments on the back which get driven by the engine. The drive on this mower gets a bit slow when it heats up (after half an hour or so). This is very common for mowers this age - I ve had three and they all do it. I don t think you ll find one that doesn t do it unless the gearbox has been refurbished. There is plenty of information about this on the internet. People suggest changing the fluid to a different type or changing the seals in the drive box. Personally I haven t bothered because it is not that bad. It still does a great job of cutting grass.
