Atco Self-propelled Petrol Mower In Good Condition

This ATCO Balmoral 14SE self-propelled petrol mower was purchased for £600 by my neighbour in April 1997. She used it to cut the front and rear lawns to her house. It has been serviced as necessary, but nothing major has needed to be done. A new battery was installed a couple of years ago. It has always been serviced by approved mower engineers.It is a fairly heavy machine and this became apparent when it became necessary to manoeuvre it up and down the several steps in the rear garden.Eventually, mowing the lawns became a bit much for my neighbour and she employed a gardener to do the work. He preferred to use his own mower and so for a number of years the mower has seen very little use. It was last used about a year ago.The mower has been kept in a garage which also houses the central heating boiler, so it has been in the dry.From the photographs it can be seen that the mower has a number of superficial scratches, and some of the adhesive labels carrying logos etc, are peeling off, but we do not know of any mechanical problems. When tested recently, the mower started at the first turn of the key and seemed to be in working order. The drive works and the cutters revolve. It may be that after such a long period of little use, that the cutters and bottom blade may need some attention.The engine size is 148cc. width of blades: 14in.overall width: 21in.length: 40in.height: handlebar adjustableIt comes with a spanner, Engine Maintenance Instructions in English, French, Dutch and German, Operating Instructions and spare spark plug. The mower has a removable cassette that is designed to be replaced with a QX Lawn Scarifier. This was purchased at the same time as the mower, but, until recently, has never been removed from its box. It will be listed on eBay following this item.
