Husqvarna Yth 160 Automatic Ride-on Lawn Tractor / Mower

HUSQVARNA YTH160 LAWN TRACTOR /MOWER SHOWING A VERY LOW 465 HOURS USE.Fitted with AUTOMATIC transmission and Briggs Stratton Vanguard ,16HP petrol engine.As you can see from the pictures,it is visually in good condition,with excellent tyres and no really noticeable damage.Starts runs/drives absolutely fine,BUT WHEN YOU START MOWING OR PUT THE ENGINE UNDER HEAVY LOAD THE EXHAUST WILL EMIT SMOKE AND THE ENGINE WILL CONSUME OIL!!!! This is why the mower is listed as, for parts or not working . Now this COULD be a relatively simple fix,(Briggs Stratton s fault-finder points to a blocked crankcase breather:this is attached to the outside of the engine behind the carb,costs £55 + £2 for the gasket,and once the carb is removed would take 20 minutes to replace),or it could be something more like a broken piston ring or blown head gasket.However the Vanguard series engine has a very good reputation for reliability,so you might well get lucky and it be just the aforementioned crankcase breather. PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: I recently sold my smaller Husqvarna tractor mower on here,which was in very good,usable condition,started first time every time,(new battery just fitted!) and drove perfectly...The winning bidder refused to come and view before winning the auction and instead sent a Courier with the cash to collect the mower. A week after the mower was collected,I got an email from him stating that he would not give me good feedback because the mower would not start,and the steering was damaged.I disputed this very strongly with him,as,(a) the mower had started perfectly for weeks before and including when his van came to collect it,and (b) I drove the tractor from my yard to the Courier van and the steering was perfect.Actually,I suspect the buyer did not have his foot on the brake when he tried to start it,(there is a safety interlock on the brake),and I don t believe the steering was damaged when it was delivered.(If it was damaged then he should be asking questions of his Courier!!!).Because of this,I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU COME AND VIEW BEFORE YOU BID!!!!!!!!!!.While I am very,very picky about how I describe things,I am human.All things are subjective,and my opinion of condition may differ from yours,so come and view,or call and ask questions at least. So,just so there is no misunderstanding with this listing,I ll repeat myself.THIS MOWER IS IN GOOD USED CONDITION,IT STARTS/RUNS/DRIVES FINE,AND CAN BE USED AS IS.HOWEVER,WHEN THE ENGINE IS UNDER LOAD IT BOTH SMOKES AND CONSUMES OIL!
