Mcculloch Push Petrol Lawnmower With Briggs & Stratton Motor

McCulloch push rotary petrol lawnmower with classic Briggs Stratton sidevalve vertical crank 3.75hp engine. Original grassbox is missing. The one in the last photo might be persuaded to fit - buyer is welcome to take or leave it as preferred. Compatible boxes come up frequently on eBay - extremely similar mowers, with same grassbox fitting, were sold as Champion, Razer, Rover, Hayter and more. Engine starts and runs without noticeable smoke. I ve done carburettor membrane replacement. Could do with new governor springs (widely available) to increase the running speed a bit. Cuts OK but a blade-sharpening session wouldn t be a bad idea. Only very minor rust on the body - far less than average for used steel mower. Should provide several years service before rust problems. Wheels, handles etc. all work but again could use minor fettling. This was my summer project mower but I ve only just got it fully working as the mowing season is ending. I m offering it for what it owes me now. If no-one wants it at this time and price, I ll titivate it further and locate a grassbox for sale at a proper price next Spring, so no lower offers please.
