Mtd Lawnflite Sit Ride On Lawn Mower Briggs Stratton Tractor Grass Box

Hi i have up for sale my 11hp MTD Briggs and Stratton Lawnflite 30 inch field mower, i have owned this from new , bought in the 1980 s and always kept in the dry, its a one owner machine. still has its original key and tyres are uncracked. the mower has had very little use in the last 10 years as i bought a fancy Honda one ( which to be honest isnt as good as this one build quality wise) . these Lawnflites were made in the USA to last, very basic design and easy to work on.no electronics and basic carburettor engine as fitted to older quad bikes. good points - one owner / starts on the button / torquey 5 speed engine pulls like a train on slopes / tyres good and hold 30psi / no rot on body / grass bag still with mower / original key / lights work fine / exhaust good / not restricted so fast for a mower. bad points - seat a bit tatty - engine needs service - grass bag needs a few nylon string repairs - engine mounts could do with a tighten - no idea what condition blades are in so may need a sharpen. bare in mind this is at least 25 years old and i can t offer any guarantees or warranty, its sold as seen. its only had occaisional use for the last 10 years as a snow plough (the blade has been given to relative for his MTD - sorry), to this end i havent tried to mow anything recently but the belt is still attached and in good condition, fitted new battery to it last night and it started up 3rd try and settled to a good idle, clutch works fine and it drove spot on. i would [prefer cash on collection, not haggling though as you bid and thats the price you pay. i can deliver within 40 miles of Sheffield for 25 pounds or i can strap it to a pallet for 40. comes with a battery and hasnt had a hard life, although as i said its sold as seen, im pretty confident it shouldnt need too much doing to get another 25 years work out of it. they don t build them like this anymore. any questions then call 07887 932 940. if you bid then you buy.
