MTD Minirider ES Ride-On Mower with mulcher. Briggs Stratton engine. VGC The MTD MiniRider ES Ride On Mower is ideal as that first step up from a walk behind mower. This model is ideal for around a third of an acre up to one acre and is easy to store thanks to its small dimensions. The mower has a 60cm/24 cut and has a 6.5hp Briggs Stratton 190 cc engine, with an auto drive transmission. Runs on normal unleaded petrol. 4 forward gears which can be changed while cutting (no having to stop to change gear). The speed can be simply adjusted with the foot pedal, just select forward or reverse direction and press the foot pedal to go. 5 cutting heights.Electric key start with pull-cord backup.Has a nice feature which enables you to tick over very slowly in neutral while you get off and empty the collector bag. The bag is enormous (160 litres), so you don t have to empty it very often.Safety feature doesn t allow it to cut unless you re sitting on the seat with the grass bag attached.Comes complete with mulcher kit, which means if the grass isn t very long, in the dry weather (like now) you can distrubute the clippings back onto the lawn to retain moisture. I bought this from Abbey Rose Garden Machinery in Burnham Bucks, who supplied it new, a year and a half ago. Unfortunately we are now moving to a smaller garden. It s believed to be about 5 years old, and has been serviced annually always by Abbey Rose. It had a new battery fitted this Spring.Dimensions: Overall Width - 30 / 76cm Overall Length - 73 / 185cm Length (without Grassbox) - 58 / 147cm Weight - 130kg This machine is in excellent condition, and has no significant marks (apart from scratching to the rather unnecessary pictorial instructions on the footplate). The grass collector has absolutely no tears etc. Well-made in Germany. I have the instruction manual downloaded from the internet. Buyer to collect, or arrange collection, from near Reading. These machines cost around £1300 new. It has to go, so I have no reserve price on it.
