Westwood D1200 Diesel Ride On Mower Garden Tractor. Running. No Reserve.

Westwood D1200 Diesel Ride on Lawn Mower / Garden Tractor - complete with two 36 inch cutting decks This is the diesel version (Lombardini engine) of the T1200 I think and is very economic on fuel. I ve owned this for a couple of years but as you can see from the pictures, I no longer have a big enough size lawn to justify it! The tractor starts and runs well, although has to be hotwired to start (some of the wiring needs to sorted out). Good points: - The tractor can be used straight away. It runs and is the rare diesel model. - it comes with two 36 inch cutter decks - one is fit for spares only but the other is decent but could do with a scrub up and maybe a repaint. - I started to refurbish it last year and had both front wheels sandblasted and powder coated and both front wheels have brand new tyres. - Five forward gears and reverse - Comes with decent Bosch battery - Has a rear belt driven PTO for use with other Westwood attachments - usually the powered grass collector but I think there was also a Westwood PTO driven chipper/shredder available (for clarity, no grass collector or chipper/shredder is included in this auction!) Bad points: - Wiring from starter switch needs attention but tractor can be hotwired to start or pull start if you felt minded to (pull start rope not included) - exhaust has had a weld repair. This has been done well and as exhaust is only 2 inches long anyway, I can t think of any good reason to change it. - front lights don t work, but are all intact - I suspect this is due to wiring issues too. - the plastic front panel has a split down one side but this is the same part as many other Westwood models and easily obtainable to replace if required. - seat has various splits in it, but still fully functional. Replacements readily available if equired. - puncture in one of the rear tyres. Will inflate long enough to drive onto winning bidders trailer etc There is very little corrosion on the tractor other than some surface rust near where the exhaust exits (easily seen on the photos). With a little attention to the wiring and a really good clean, this mower would really polish up well.
